  • Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. Received BA in 1991 with a major in Psychology

  • Thomas Jefferson Medical School, Philadelphia, PA. Received MD in 1996

  • University of Washington, Seattle, WA.

    • Completed an Internship and Residency in Psychiatry in 2000, with training at:

      • the Seattle VA Medical Center,

      • the University of Washington Medical Center (among the top ten medical centers in the United States as rated by U.S. News & World Report),

      • and Harborview Medical Center (a county hospital with a mission to serve the poor and disadvantaged.

    • Completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry in 2001, with training at the Seattle VA Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center, as well as several nursing homes and adult day treatment centers.
